Elaine J. Morel

Elaine J. Morel of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at her residence.

She was born December 8, 1942 in Woonsocket, RI to the late Edgar and Yvonne (Tachearoux) Savoie; and has been a winter resident of Lake Wales for 30 years coming from Plainville, MA. She was the retired owner/operator of Morel Cycle & Power of N. Attleboro, MA, a former real estate broker. She was a former volunteer for Plainville, MA Police Department with Project Reassurance, and enjoyed bingo and ceramics.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Joseph B. Morel, Sr.; daughters, Donna DeMers (William) of Woonsocket, RI, and Tina Louise Morel of Plainville, MA; son, Joseph B. Morel, Jr. (Kelly) of Norton, MA; sisters, Estelle Williams of Pawtucket, RI, Eloise Arel of N. Smithfield, RI, and Lisa Johnson of Vero Beach, FL; Nine grandchildren- Sasha, Jimmy, Cierra, Benjamin, Ethen, Jerry, Matthew, Timothy, and Joseph; Five great-grandchildren- Kyle, Jocelynn, Savannah, Samuel, and Raymond, Jr.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Leo's Mission of Nalcrest.
