LAKE WALES -- Mr. Edwin A. "Ed" Conner of Lake Wales died of liver disease April 14, 2006, at home. He was 57.

Born in Harbor Beach, Mich., on Feb. 22, 1949, he came to Lake Wales from Lakeland nine years ago. He was a facilities manager for GTE telephone company.

Mr. Conner is survived by his wife, Jo Anne Conner; daughter, Tammy M. Conner, Alturas; stepdaughter, Farrah Thompson, Lakeland; stepson, Erek Matz, Leesburg; mother, Dorothy Maxine Conner, Lakeland; sister, Janette Tice, Dundee; one grandchild; five stepgrandchildren.
