Edwardo Nerio

Edwardo "Loco Bird" Nerio of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009.

He was born November 25, 1962 in Altus, OK to the late Martin and Amelia (Ortiz) Nerio; he came to Lake Wales from Texas in 1969. He was of the Catholic faith and loved football.

Survivors include his son, Austin; sisters, Yolanda Morales of Bristol, FL, Gloria Cantu of Ocala, FL, Olga Nerio of Lake Wales, Janie Nerio of Frostproof, FL, Elva Nerio of Lake Wales; brothers, Amadeo Nerio of Kansas, Carlos Nerio of Texas, Antonio Nerio of Haines City, Jorge Nerio of Lake Wales, Eddie Nerio of Texas, Rogelio Nerio of Michigan, and Juan Vera of Texas.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales, with Father Anthony Bluett officiating, and with interment following at Lake Wales Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
