Edward Sheffield, Sr.

Edward Sheffield, Sr. “Doodlebug” “Saw” of Perry, FL passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

He was born December 4, 1947 in Frostproof to the late Charles Edmond & Willie Lou Sheffield; and he was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. He was a retired security guard for Ridge Fertilizer; and he also worked at Hunt Brothers and Ben Hill Griffin and volunteered at the Lake Wales Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Sheffield. Survivors include his sons, David Sheffield and fiancée, Dorothy Archer of Perry, Ed Sheffield, Jr and his wife, Angela of Norfolk, VA and Ruben Sheffield and his wife, Angela of Abbeville, AL; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales and the graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
