Edward Simon Mills

Edward Mills of Lake Wales passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born May 15, 1929 in Swainsboro, Georgia to the late James H. and Allie J. (Powell) Mills; and came to the Lake Wales area in 1962 from Swainsboro, Georgia.

He was a retired Field Representative for Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. and a member of the South Lake Wales Church of God, he enjoyed fishing, feeding his birds and playing with his dogs and was an Atlanta Braves fan

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Mills; 7 children, Mary Hadden (Allen) of Auburndale, FL., Vicki Richmond of Lake Wales, FL., Robin Jolley (Steve) of Lake Wales, FL., Darrel Mills of Stockbridge, GA., Eddie Mills of Lake Wales, FL., Delbert Richmond (Darlene) of St. Cloud, FL., Richard Richmond (Linda) of Springfield, Ohio; sisters, Evette Hadden of Frostproof, FL., Nellie Jennings of Smithville, PA.; 10 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
