WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Edward Davis Miller of Winter Haven died of heart failure Tuesday (Oct. 4, 2005) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 82.

Born in Royal Oak, Mich., on Nov. 24, 1922, he came to Winter Haven from Durand, Mich., 19 years ago. He was a lineman for Customer Power in Michigan. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 8 in Winter Haven. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Finton, Mich. He was a Protestant.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Miller. He is survived by his son, Richard K. Miller, South Whitty, Ind.; stepsons, Eugene Baur, Winter Haven, Michael Baur, Durand, Mich.; daughter, Beth Hanna, Warsaw, Ind.; stepdaughters, Connie Barber, East Tawas, Mich., Pat Jones, Arizona, Robin Patsy, Wowaso, Mich.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
