Edward Murray McCollum, 48, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born July 26, 1960 in Greenville, SC to Edward E. & Jane Murray McCollum from Edisto Island, SC; he came here 9 years ago from Saint Marks, FL. He was a welder and of the Episcopalian faith.
Survivors include his parents, wife of 5 years, Rita; a sister, Faith McCollum of Tucker, GA; a step-daughter, Rita (Robbie) H. Allen of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a step-son, Maurice (Reese) Harris, Jr. of Lake Wales; two grandsons, Dylan and Marcus Allen of Roanoke Rapids, NC; two nieces, Hannah & Emi McCollum of Tucker, GA; very special friends, Girtha Myles and Ed & Brea Garrison; and several cousins and close friends.
