WINTER HAVEN--Edward R. “Rick” King of Winter Haven died of cancer Friday, December 08, 2006 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland. He was 52.
Born March 08, 1954, in Detroit, MI; he came to this area 10 years ago from Palm Beach. He was an iron worker in construction in Fort Lauderdale and attended the Without Walls International Church in Lakeland. He taught reading and writing to those who needed it, was a football and basketball fan and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Shannette King of Winter Haven; daughters, Ashley “Ash” King of Winter Haven; Alyssa Eason of Davie; sons, Timothy “Tim” King of Winter Haven; Ricky King, Jr. of New York; mother, Bernice “Bea” King of Auburndale; brother, John King of Lake Alfred; sister, Nancy King of California.
Private services will be held at a later date.
