FROSTPROOF -- Mr. Edward Frank Hollenbeck of Frostproof died of heart failure Tuesday (April 25, 2006) at home. He was 86.
Born in Oswego, N.Y., on May 30, 1919, he came to Frostproof from Mesa, Ariz., three years ago. He was a schoolteacher in New York, where he taught industrial arts for 28 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a pilot. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
Mr. Hollenbeck is survived by his wife, Margaret Hollenbeck; daughter, Barbara Hollenbeck, San Francisco; sons, James Hollenbeck, Mesa, Robert Hollenbeck, Oswego; sister, Thelma Whitney, Staten Island, N.Y.; nine grandchildren.
Burial with military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. May 30 in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
