Edward Michael “Mike” Cannon, 69

Edward Michael “Mike” Cannon of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his residence.

He was born November 20, 1950 in Lake Wales, Florida to the late Edward and Christine Cannon. Mike was a citrus caretaker and attended the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, gardening, grilling, and fishing; he was very involved in children’s ministry and he loved his family dearly.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Diane Cannon; and sister, Janain Mullins. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Ann Tillman and husband Tony of Lake Wales, Amanda Nicole Long and husband Brian Scott of Lake Wales, and Cynthia Renee Scott and husband Daniel of Lake Wales; son, Michael Heath Cannon and wife JoAnne of Frostproof; sister, Teresa Norris and husband Wayne of Frostproof; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Silver Hill Cemetery.
