Edna Mae Carter, 74
Edna Mae Carter of Frostproof passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.
She was born July 8, 1947 in Cairo, Georgia to the late CW and Prince Cleveland; she moved to Frostproof from Miami in 1990. Edna was a retired teacher for Redland Migrant Association. She loved to watch gameshows and her “stories” and loved her family dearly.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carter, Sr.; and son, David Bernard. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Carter, Jr. (Jamila) of Pensacola, Carl Smith of Avon Park, Stacy Lernard Carter (Amanda) of Frostproof, and Raymond Carter (Heather) of Frostproof; sisters, Pearlie Harrell (Perry) of Cairo, Georgia, and Mary Bryant of Cairo, Georgia; brothers, Bobby Cleveland (Edna) of Cairo, Georgia, Tim Cleveland (Tynise) of Cairo, Georgia, Odell Cleveland of Cairo, Georgia, CW Cleveland, Jr. of Cairo, Georgia, and Grady Cleveland (Willa) of Abbeville, Georgia; aunt, Minnie Thomas (Edward) of Cairo, Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 and Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.
