Edna Christine Hall Bennett

Edna Christine Hall Bennett formerly of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 in Spring City, Tennessee.

She was born November 1, 1930 in Early County, Georgia to the late Luther B. & Minnie (McMullen) McKinnon; she came to Florida in 1945 from Blakely, GA. She was a former member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church and was on the nomination committee and bereavement server at the church.

Edna was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hall Sr in 1998. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Edna E. & Bennie Phillips of Spring City, TN; sisters, Agnes Boyett of Lake Wales, Ada Lee Clayborn of Lake Wales, Lottie Bennett of Arcadia, Laverne Montgreif of Frostproof, Bernice Williams of Lake Wales, Juanita Fugate of Lakeland & Joyce Conner of Mapleville, AL; 5 grandchildren ,5 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Mark Koruschak officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
