Edith Clara Tuma

Edith C. Tuma of Frostproof passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

She was born February 7, 1920 in Milford CT to the late Arthur Wilber and Clara Derby; and she came here from Miami Springs in 1978. She was a retired bookkeeper, was a member of the Sun Ray United Methodist Church and attended the First Christian Church of Frostproof. She was a Past Matron for the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Tuma and a son, George A. Tuma. Survivors include her grandsons, Jonathan Tuma and Jason Tuma; nephews, Jay Hoyt, Mickey Hoyt and Richard Derby; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Sun Ray First United Methodist Church with Pastor Curtiss Cain officiating. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery.
