LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Edith Meeks Brewer of Lake Wales died of cancer Friday (Sept. 15, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 73.

Born May 14, 1933, in Eagle Lake, Mrs. Brewer was a lifelong resident of Polk County. She worked as a bus driver for the Polk County School System. She attended First Assembly of God Church, Lake Wales.

Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Brewer. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Anderson, Winter Haven, Connie Faison, Lake Wales; sons, Jerry Clemons, Alturas, David Clemons, Lake Wales, Timothy Faison, Leesburg; brothers, Robert Meeks, Lakeland, John Meeks, Bartow; sisters, Juanita Branch, Lake Wales, Cora Acre, Orlando; six grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
