Eddie Batson, 42, of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

Born July 21, 1965 in Lake Wales; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a self-employed welder/pipe fitter and a member of the Calvary Temple. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, the outdoors and horticulture.

Survivors include his sons, Eddie Lamar Batson Jr. of Maryville, TN, Nathan Batson of Maryville, TN and Ryan Batson of Frostproof; parents, Lamar “Tincie” and Phyllis M. Batson of Waverly; brother, John David Batson of Waverly; sister, Teresa Bryant of Waverly; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
