HUBERT  E.  “ED”  LASSITER,  78

Hubert E. “Ed” Lassiter of Lakeland passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Lakeland Reginal Health.

He was born March 12, 1942 in Frostproof to the late Hubert Lassiter and Gloria Davis; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He ran the Frostproof office of Florida Power and was a member of the Frostproof Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fan of the Florida Gators and enjoyed traveling, southern cooking, going to Fred’s Restaurant and family times.

Survivors include his step-mother, Alberta Lassiter; sisters, Tina Lassiter of Tennessee, Jenifer Lassiter Carter and husband, Jonathan of Haines City, Betty Lassiter McGuire and husband, Timothy of South Dakota and Tammy Lassiter of Tennessee; niece, Kristie Cochran and husband, Kevin; and nephew, Nicholas Aiken.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the Florida Sheriff’s Association (2617 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32308).
