Ed Dawson

Ed Dawson of Lake Wales passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at his residence.

He was born November 26, 1938 in Scotsborough, AL to the late Weldon Emmett & Mary Myrtle (Rounsavalle) Dawson; he came here from Fort Payne, Al 58 years ago. He was the owner/operator of Dawson's Scenic Service and a member & deacon of the Wayside Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara M. Dawson; daughter, Joyce Dawson of Lake Wales; son, Eddy & Cathy Dawson of Lake Wales; sisters, Barbara McNinny of Rockledge and Wanda Britt of Palm Coast; brother, Bill Dawson of Trenton; three grandchildren, Kevin Dawson, James Knight and Amanda Wade; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
