Earl E. Montooth

Earl E. Montooth of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born July 16, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles E. Montooth and Hazel Edwards Montooth; he came here 20 years ago from Cincinnati. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army & U.S. Navy.

Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Montooth in 2007. Survivors include his daughters, Juanita Lynn Lacher of Ohio, Elaine Z. Whiteford of Tampa and Kathy Birth of Lake Wales; sister, Mary Cassady of Ohio; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with the family receiving friends from 2:00 PM until service time.
