FORT MEADE--Earl Huggins, 73, of Fort Meade passed away Friday, November 23, 2007 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

Born October 16, 1934 in Lake Wales, FL; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired stock room clerk for Citrus World and was of the Protestant faith. He served in the U.S. Army, enjoyed vegetable gardening, and was an avid Gator fan.

Earl was preceded by his parents, W. Bennie & Mary Huggins; and a brother, Wayne Huggins. Survivors include his wife, Martha Kelly Huggins of Fort Meade; sons, Michael Wesley Huggins of Lakeland and Edwin Palmerton of Winter Haven; brothers, Mickey Huggins of Salt Springs and Raymond Huggins of Winter Haven; sisters, Merle Peterson and Louise Pickles both of Lake Wales; grandson, Ed Palmerton Jr; and great-granddaughter, Ella Grace.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 26, 2007 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. For those who wish, donations may be made to any charity of choice.
