Earl Kingsley Hayes of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, November 08, 2012 at his residence.
He was born October 5, 1928 in Walgrove, WV to the late Herbert & Bertha Hayes; he moved from West Virginia to Michigan where he lived for ten years before coming to Lake Wales in 1974. After retiring as a millwright for Elk Refinery, Earl started another company with his sons. He was the President of Hayes and Son’s Inc. from 1975 until closing the company in 1991. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved guns, motorcycles, hunting, fishing and camping.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Hayes in 2010. Survivors include his sons, Gene Hayes (Colleen) of Lake Wales, Paul Hayes (Linda) of Tennessee, Ed Hayes (Teri) of Lake Wales, Glen Hayes (Anne) of Lake Wales and Michael Hayes (Catherine) of Derry, NH; one sister, Lejeune Williams of Walgrove, WV; 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment for Lola & Earl Hayes will be at Hayes Sunrise Cemetery in Walgrove, WV.
