Dwan "Shorty" Andrews

Dwan "Shorty" Andrews of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born July 08, 1938 in Panama City, FL to the late Myles & Bessie (Stephens) Andrews; he came here 4 years ago from Clewiston, FL. He was a retired electrician and like fishing, football, John Wayne & war movies. He loved to cook and was good at it.

Dwan was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Andrews. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Irene Andrews; daughter, Lucinda Webb (Jack) of Lake Placid, FL; son, Lavon Andrews (Sonya) of Clewiston, FL and Floyd Andrews of Fort Pierce, FL; 7 grandchildren, Dustin, Brittany, Matthew, Angela, Kayla, Cassidy and Sharon.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2010 and the funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Pastor John E. Dumas officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
