Duane Edward Griffith, 82, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Life Care Center of Winter Haven.
He was born April 13, 1933 in Coal Valley, Illinois to the late Z. Doan and Margaret (Linn) Griffith and has been a resident of this area for over 20 years moving here from St. Cloud, Florida. He was a retired repair man for International Harvester. Duane was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. Griffith
He is survived by his step daughter, Gloria Nelson of Moline, Illinois, daughters, Bonnie Weimer of East Moline, Illinois, Shelia Haley of East Moline, Illinois; step son, Jerry Overturf of Illinois; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
