Dorothy M. Walker

Dorothy M. “Dot” Walker of Lake Wales passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at her residence.

She was born January 11, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Frank & Agnes Russo; and she came here from Westbury, Long Island, NY in 1982. She was retired from Long Island Trust Co and of the Catholic faith. She loved to play Bingo at the church and enjoyed the casino. Her most important thing was to look out for her family.

Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Walker Sr. Survivors include her daughter, Eileen M. Walker of Lake Wales; son, Edward F. Walker Jr of Andover, NJ; one granddaughter, Becky Walker; and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, January 2, 2014 and the funeral service will be held 9:00 am Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Father Glenn Charest officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
