Dorothy F. "Dot" Straub

June 28, 1915 — June 3, 2012

Dorothy F. Straub passed away at home with loved ones present on June 3, 2012. She was born June 28, 1915 to Richard B. Dagger and Sarah J. Davison of Morristown, NJ.

Mrs. Straub moved to the Lake Wales area 46 years ago. Her professions included Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals and a beautician in New Jersey. She was employed by Lake Wales Hospital, was a seamstress at Findley Industries, an upholsterer at Tower Furniture, Post Office clerk at Indian Lake Estates, Wal-Mart crafts and volunteered at Babson Park Elementary.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Straub, along with five siblings. Dorothy leaves behind three sons, Ronald R. Straub, Gary B. Straub and G. Keith Straub, all of Lake Wales. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Straub was married to a founder of the Raritan Valley Motorcycle Club of New Brunswick, NJ for 64 years.

Dorothy was never one to go "all fancy". She was a simple woman who lived an extraordinary life, with many stories to tell anyone who would listen. She outlived all of her family and even though she had many friends, most of them as well. She will be missed by all that knew her.

We will love you always, Mother/Dot/Nana/the "Great-One."

Private family services will be held at a later date.
