Dorothy Dimple Medlock

DOROTHY MEDLOCK, 76

Dorothy Medlock of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Lake Wales Medical Center due to heart failure.

She was born August 21, 1932 in Samson, AL to the late George and Vera (McCall) Watson; she came here from Winter Haven in 1950. She worked at Donald Duck for 20 years and later retired as a nurse’s aid at the Lake Wales Medical Center. She liked working with crafts, sewing, antiques and going to yard sells. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She liked watching game shows and old western movies with her husband.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Junior Medlock; daughters, Louise Price (Ted) of Lake Wales and Jane Harrison (Alan) of Lake Wales; sons, Dale L. Medlock (Gail) of Lake Wales and James E. Medlock of Lake Wales; sister, Barbara Faulkner of Winter Haven; 5 grandchildren, Jason Price, Kelly Bayliffe, Bubba Medlock, Angel Croft and Colby Medlock; and 4 great-grandchildren, Kenny Medlock, Jordyn Medlock, Skye Croft and Chase Croft.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Heart Association.
