Dorothy "Dot" Goff

Dorothy D. Goff of Lake Wales passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Grace Health Care.

She was born November 4, 1927 in Plant City to the late Corneilus Elijay & Bernice Tatum Dyal; and she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a retired bookkeeper for the City of Lake Wales and member of the Frostproof Church of God, where she was active in the Ladies Ministries. She was a member of the Lake Wales Band Association and the Lake Wales Lion’s Club Auxiliary.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Goff. Survivors include her daughter, Jan Goff Meeks (Ronnie) of Frostproof; son, Ken Goff (Jane) of Lake Wales; sister, Vera Mathews of Lake Wales; four grandchildren, Jinny Goff of Lake Wales, Ann Goff Tomkinson (Doug) of Lake Wales, Larkin Goff Smith (Josh) of Lake Wales and Emilyn Meeks Sharpless (Justin) of Lake Wales; five great-grandchildren, Audrey, Ellie, Sarah, Colton and Gwendolyn.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Lake Wales Cemetery with Pastor Steve Livingston officiating.
