Dorothy C Bizet

Dorothy “D.C.” Bizet, 85, was born on 8/2/1922 in Savannah, GA and passed away Sunday 6/15/08. At an early age her family moved to Miami where she attended school. She married Fred Bizet in Sept. 1965. Fred served on and retired from the Miami Beach Police Dept., he passed away in Dec. 2003. They moved to Lake Wales in 1974 where she worked in the office for Dr. Many for 20 years. She was active in the Garden Club of Lake Wales, was a volunteer for the Lake Wales Hospital, was an historian in tracking ancestry. She was Past-President of the Women’s Club of Lake Wales, an organization in which she was extremely active. She attended the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She is survived by one sister, Joy Nall and brother-in-law, Richard Nall, of Cashiers, N.C., a niece, Robin Doroban and son, Aaron, of Toccoa, GA, a nephew, Dean Doroban of Ocala, FL, a sister-in-law, Juliet Reeves, and brother-in-law, Richard Reeves of Fort Meade, FL, aunt and uncle, Henri Bowen, and five cousins of Ocala, as well as 3 earthly angels and long time friends, Jim and Shirley Schultz and Mrs. Linda Cox. May God richly bless them. Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 221 South 4th Street, Lake Wales, FL 33853 or the Women’s Club of Lake Wales, P.O. Box 927, Lake Wales, FL 33859. No flowers please. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
