Doris Jean Hammond, 92
Doris J. Hammond of Frostproof, Florida passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at her residence.
She was born September 14, 1926 in Reading Center, New York to the late Devon and Alma (Green) Allen. She has been a resident of the area since 1984 coming from Millport, New York. She was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service. Doris was a member of the Eastern Star, Frostproof American Legion Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary and the National League of Post Masters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Hammond.
Survivors include her sons Alan Hammond of Ohio, David Hammond of Frostproof, FL, sister Jacqueline Goble of Frostproof, FL, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
