Doris M. Stokes Griffin, 91

Doris M. Stokes Griffin of Sanford, Florida passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Hospice of the Comforter.

She was born May 19, 1927 in Ft. Meade, Florida to the late Robert B. and Sara I. (Keen) Massey. She has been a lifelong resident of Hardee and Polk Counties. She was a retired Hair Dresser. Doris was a Cattle Rancher and Citrus Grower in Hardee County, member of BPW. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Clinton W. Stokes, second husband Rexford Hugh Griffin, son Lewis Stokes, sister Zona Norris, brothers Bob Massey and Buford Massey.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Hare and husband John of Lake Wales, FL, Sherry Kitner and husband Blair of Sanford, FL, sons Joe Stokes of Lake Wales, FL, Dennis Stokes of Chipley, FL, 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
