Doris Deal Gravley

Doris Deal Gravley was born on May 10, 1941, in Blakely, Georgia. She lived a life filled with dedication to her family and community until her passing on June 12, 2026, at her residence.

Doris was known as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and housekeeper who deeply loved her family and embraced her Christian faith throughout her life. She worked as a cashier and customer service representative for Futral's Food Way, where she was appreciated for her kindness and attentiveness to customers. Doris’ caring nature extended far beyond her work, touching the lives of many around her.

Doris was the beloved wife of the late Leon "Pinky" Gravley. She was the daughter of William Byrd and Frances Deal, both of whom have also passed on. She leaves behind sons, Gary Gravley and his wife Jimmie of Frostproof, Greg Gravley of Frostproof, Reggie Gravley and his wife Melinda of Frostproof, and Garrett Gravley of Avon Park. Doris also is survived by her sister, Helen Hines of Lake Wales and her brother, Jerry Deal of North Carolina.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof. All flower donations are to be sent to Silver Hill Cemetery for the service. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
