WAVERLY--Doris Jean Brown, 70, of Waverly died of heart failure Monday, June 18, 2007 at Winter Haven Hospital.

Born August 21, 1936 in Vernon, FL; she came here from Vernon in 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Indian Lake Estates.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Missie M. Clemmons, sister, Dorothy Earl, and brother, Curtis Clemmons. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jimmie Lee Brown of Waverly; daughters, Patricia E. Heath of Winter Haven; Peggy E. Koruschak of Lake Wales; son, Perry E. Brown of Frostproof; sister, Florence Skipper of Waverly; and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 22, 2007 at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Littleton and Rev. Mark Koruschak officiating. Interment will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Donations may be sent to American Heart Association.
