Donnie W. Tilyou

Donnie W. Tilyou of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born January 12, 1930 in Glenwood, GA to the late James B. & Mildred Meeks; and she came here from Georgia in 1964. She was retired from Citrus World and was of the Baptist faith.Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jay R. Tilyou.

Survivors include her daughter, Robbie L. Brickey of Lake Wales; son, Clinton Walker (Sheila) of Winter Haven; step-daughters, Yvonne Allen (Larry) of Fort Myers and Christina Benton of Frostproof; step-son, Russell J. Tilyou of Frostproof; sisters, Barbara Jean Smith of Glenwood, GA and Audrey Powell of Glenwood, GA; brothers, James B. Meeks, Jr. of Soperton, GA, Waylon Meeks of LaGrange, GA and Floyd Meeks of Glenwood, GA; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
