Donnie Mack Binkley Sr.

DONNIE MACK BINKLEY SR, 71 Donnie Binkley Sr. of Babson Park passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital. He was born December 22, 1944 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to the late McDowell and Mable (Sharp) Binkley. He has been a resident of the area since 1969. Donnie was a State Inspector for the State of Florida. He was a Veteran in the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Disabled American Service, former VFW. Donnie received the Naval acommendation for Achievement Medal for saving his ship from a defective bomb. He was a practical joker, had a great sense of humor, He loved his family and the internet. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Eloise Binkley, daughter Donna Watson (Mark Tucker) of Lake Wales, FL, son Donnie M. Binkley Jr., sisters Geraldine Bair of Jacksonville, FL, Deborah Crow of Poinciana, FL, brother Jimmy Binkley of Lake Wales, FL, 4 grandchildren Levi (Melanie), Lacee (Arti), Ciara, Justin and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale.
