Donna LaVerne Magera, born on January 23, 1949, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. Donna was known throughout her life for her warmth, dedication to family, and deep sense of community.
Donna’s early years in McKeesport were marked by a commitment to learning and growth. She was educated through high school, building the foundation for a life guided by diligence and compassion.
A woman of remarkable ambition, Donna became a restaurant owner, pouring her energy and creativity into her work. Her dedication to her business was evident, and her establishment became more than just a workplace; it was an extension of her caring nature, a place where many gathered and felt welcomed under her guidance.
Beyond her professional achievements, Donna had a zest for life that shone brightly in her personal pursuits. She found great joy in crafting, spending many cherished hours creating and sharing her talents.
Donna’s devotion to her family was unwavering. She leaves behind her loving husband, Dennis Magera, who was her steadfast partner through life’s many adventures. She is also survived by her sons, Joseph Poster and Mathew Magera, and their wives, Cindy Poster and Christina Magera. Donna’s heart overflowed for her grandchildren, Ivy Magera and Lane Magera, and her great-granddaughter, Ember. She was deeply proud of her family, and her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild was a defining aspect of her generous spirit.
Her spiritual life was rooted in community as a member of HighPointe Church, where she found strength, friendship, and purpose. Donna’s involvement in the church community enriched her life and the lives of those around her, reflecting her commitment to living with kindness and faith.
Donna’s memory is also honored by remembering her beloved parents, Donald Wilding, Sr., and LaVerne Holland Carey, who preceded her in death. Their influence and love were enduring forces in her life.
Donna LaVerne Magera will be fondly remembered for her welcoming smile, creative spirit, and the deep love she showed to family and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
