Donna Jean Herrod, 63

Donna Jean Herrod of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born March 31, 1959 in Lake Wales and has been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a cook at Route 60 Diner and was a hardworking, independent person. She liked to go junking and dearly loved her granddaughter.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Allen Herrod and sister, Connie Long. Survivors include her son, Brandon Michael Day of Lake Wales; mother, Jean Taylor of Lake Wales; sisters, Cindy Sanford of Davenport and Chyrl Eagan (Mike) of Lake Wales; step-sister, Marie DeLong (Joe) of South Carolina; brothers, Jimmy Herrod (Starr) of Indiana and Jeff Long of Lake Wales; step-brother, Tim Taylor (Mary) of Lake Wales; one beloved granddaughter, Layah Day; and step-mother, Silkie Herrod of Lake Wales.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Kevin Respress officiating.
