Donald John Witte, 91

Donald John Witte of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Somers Hospice House.

He was born December 15, 1929 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to the late Albert and Frances Witte; he moved to Frostproof from Texas in 1990. Donald was a retired groundskeeper for the City of Saint Paul in Minnesota and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also a mink farmer in Lake of the Woods. Donald was a great fisherman who enjoyed metal detecting and buying and selling things.

Donald is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gladys Witte; brother, James Witte and wife Betty of Saint Paul, Minnesota; niece, Mary Olson and husband Cory of East Bethel, Minnesota; nephew, David Witte and wife Susan of Saint Paul, Minnesota; great nieces; and great nephews.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Marion Nelson Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof with Deacon Sam Knight officiating.
