Donald B. Whitlock

Donald B. Whitlock of Lake Wales passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Hospice facility in Auburndale.

He was born March 25, 1925 in Warsaw, NY to the late Donald Benedict Whitlock I and Lydia (Birch) Whitlock; and came to Lake Wales from Puerto Rico 7 1/2 years ago. He was a self-employed Executive Consultant in engineering, of the Presbyterian faith, and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy; son, Donald II; and sister, Ann Linaweaver. Survivors include his wife of 35 1/2 years, Carmen A. Whitlock; step-daughter, Evelyn Mendez of Winter Haven; and granddaughter, Sasha.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales, with Rev. Scott Thompson officiating. Family will be receiving friends from 1:00-2:00 PM.
