Donald E. Webb

Donald E. Webb of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at his residence.

He was born June 27, 1941 in Fall River, Massachusetts to the late Edwin C. & Helen (Lund) Webb; he came here in 2006 from Westport, Massachusetts. He was a 1959 graduate of the Westport High School and was a member of the Westport United Congregationalist Church in Westport, MA. He worked for the Artisan well drilling company Alden C. Perry Company in Lakeville, MA and was also the co-owner/operator of E.C. Webb Inc for 50 years in Westport, MA. He enjoyed playing hockey, volleyball and tennis, listening to country music and fishing. He was an animal lover, especially his two cats, Addison and Bruno and one dog, Fritz.

Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth A. Webb and two sisters, Edith Rodriques and Natalie Webb. Survivors include his wife, Marcia A. Webb; sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Sebring, Marjorie Daigle of Fall River, MA and Janet Parker of Durham, CA; many nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Ron Walker of Zephyrhills.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

People have asked how we met. I was an angel in the school Christmas pageant when I was in JR High. You came along the corridor and stole my halo and put it on your head. I ran after you and took it back. It was love at “first fight”. Now you have a Halo forever and the Wings as well. Thank you for always loving me. Wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
