Donald Lawrence Von Windeguth

Donald Lawrence von Windeguth of Lake Wales died Monday, November 2, 2009.

Mr. von Windeguth was born November 29, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Jacksonville, FL at an early age. He graduated from Landon High School and Florida State University with a degree in Biology.

Mr. von Windeguth served in the Military during the Korean War with the 10th Ranger Company, Airborne. He was a research scientist with the United State Department of Agriculture and retired in 1990. Mr. von Windeguth was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales where he volunteered as an usher and in the church Thrift Shop.

Mr. von Windeguth is survived by his wife, Dr. Barbara von Windeguth; sons, Donald Jr. and Edward; brother, William (Anne); and extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 221 South Fourth Street, Lake Wales, FL 33853.
