Donald R. "Don" Prior

Donald R. "Don" Prior of St. Cloud passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Osceola Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 25, 1925 in Huntingburg, IN to the late John Edward & Goldie Prior; he lived in Lake Wales from 1959 until 1997 when he moved to St. Cloud following his retirement as the Ranger from the Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation. He was of the Methodist faith and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marines seeing action in Iwo Jimo, Okinawa and Tiniam. He enjoyed family times, fishing and was a Florida State Seminoles fan.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Prior in 1986. Survivors include his daughter, Timi & Vince Godin of St. Cloud; son, Brad & Debby Prior of Lutz; brother, Paul Prior of Greensburg, IN; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
