Donald Vernon Henrikson

Don Henrikson, 75, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Lakeland Good Shepherd Hospice House in Lakeland, Florida due to cancer.

He was born July 23, 1938 in Warren, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence and Rose (Seaholm) Henrikson and has been a resident of the area since 1981. He was a Dispatcher for Mid-State Energy. Don enjoyed reading, loved westerns, traveling and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Jan Henrikson, daughter, Kris Ohrmud, of Asheboro, NC; sons, Randy Henrikson and wife Lori of Lakeland, Rick Henrikson of Norfolk, VA; 5 grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Kantz officiating. Private interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers family request donations may be made to Lake Wales Care Center or Good Shepherd Hospice.
