Donald Paul Bartholomay, 76, of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
Born March 28, 1932 in Boston, MA; he came here from Franklin, NC 4 years ago. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, served two tours in Viet Nam and the Cuban Missile Crisis, serving in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army; he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. He graduated from Emmy Riddle University and the University of Maine. He was also a member of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Sandra L. Bartholomay of Lake Wales; daughters, Linda Jeanne Kolodzik of North Carolina and Tracey Ables of Eagle Lake, FL; sons, Kenneth P. Bartholomay of Lake Wales, FL, Jeffery David Bartholomay of New Hampshire and Ethan Jeffrey Levesque of Eustis, FL; brother, Francis Ernest Bartholomay of Lake Wales, FL; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with military honors.
