Dolores M. Bique, 77, of Winter Haven, Florida, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, January 7th, 2015 at Tampa General Hospital.
Born November 1st, 1937 in Yonkers, New York, to the late James J. and Helen V. (Powers) McEvoy. Dolores has been a Winter Haven resident for 17 years, moving here from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dolores' 77 years were filled with the joy that only a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a child of God can experience.
Dolores is survived by Robert E. Bique Sr., her husband of 58 years; children, Kathryn Bique of Jacksonville, FL, James Bique of Jacksonville, FL, Theresa DiMercurio of Kingsland, GA, Fred and Cheryl De Zouche of Kingsland, GA, John and Helen Coleman of Newport News, VA, Brian and Ellen Dees of Mulberry, FL, and Robert and Lani Bique II of Lake Wales; sisters, Anna Mae Sesack of Wantagh, NY, Sister Marie Amiee of Scarsdale, NY, Mike and Helen Moran of Wantagh, NY; 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons.
Throughout her rich life, she was the PTA President, a Girl Scout Leader, Officer Wives Club Member, a Political Campaigner, Church Guild Member, retired from the Chesapeake Social Services Department in Chesapeake, an avid New York Mets and Tampa Bay Rays Fan, an Arts and Crafts Aficionado, a soprano the Saint Joseph's Cantabile Choir, a faithful member of the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, and was lovingly known for her world famous cooking, especially her delicious fruit cake.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, 10am on January 13th at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores Bique's name to the American Cancer Society.
