Detta Odom of Lake Wales passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born October 10, 1983 in Carlsbad, New Mexico; she moved to Lake Wales from Loving, New Mexico six years ago. Detta was the Program Director for Circle of Friends in Lake Wales and a member of The Bridge Central Church where she active in the children’s ministry. Detta had a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and was working on her Master’s Degree before leaving college to take care of her mother when her health declined. She was a supportive living and companion coach at Freeman Services. She was a loving and caring person who was always helping people in need. Detta was smart and beautiful.

Detta was proceeded in death by her mother, Cleva Kay Kabiski; and grandparents, Lillian and Claude Estes. She is survived by her husband of five years, Michael Ray Patrick Odom; cousin, Sally Price and many other cousins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cleve and Adelia Odom; sister-in-law, Kathryn Odom; brother-in-law, Robert Odom; and her fur babies, Boomer, Jennie, Dommy, Cookie.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at The Bridge Central Church.
