Dennis Gary Cooper

Dennis Gary Cooper of Lake Wales passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at his residence.

He was born February 7, 1954 in Elkton, MD to the late Adam Ed & Grace Taylor Cooper; he came here from Elkton, MD 10 years ago. He was a laborer, attended the High Pointe Church and was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army. He loved his cats, family and friends. He was a hard worker and cared about people. He would give to others even when there wasn't much.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny Cooper. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Lynn Cooper of Maryland; son, Ralph Dennis Cooper of St. Pete; siblings, Ruby Chevres of Wilmington, NC, Geraldine Stroup of Haver De Grace, MD, Douglas Cooper (JoAnn) of Elkton, MD, Bill Cooper (Sandy) of North East, MD, Judy Moore of Elkton, MD, Rosemary & Drew Reynolds of Winter Haven, Danny Cooper (Gail) of Haver De Grace, MD, Dottie & Earl Huff of Lake Wales, Donna Trotter (Matt) of Worchester, PA and Adam Floyd Cooper of North East, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10:30am, Monday, April 18, 2011 at the High Pointe Church with Rev. Jack Hilligoss officiating.
