Delorise “Dodie” Lorraine Williams, 84 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at her residence.

She was born February 2, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late Hiram Oran and Violet Alice (Weyandt) Bibby she was raised in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and moved to Bradford, Florida in 1947. She Married James Harold Williams of Trenton, Florida in 1950; they resided in Lake Wales since 1966. She Owned Lake Wales Sewing Center and Managed World of Fabrics on Stuart Avenue in Lake Wales. Later, she owned Margaret’s clothing store and a UPS shipping office. Dodie was a member of Westside Baptist Church and previous member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams was active in Prison Ministry, Bus Ministry, Evangelism Explosion Training, Prayer Chain Leader, Sunday School Advisor and a warrior for Christ.

Dodie was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Williams in 1997

She is survived by her daughters, Susan A. Williams of Lake Wales, Vivian E. “Lanie” Browne of Babson Park; sons, James H. Williams of Lake Wales, David H. Williams and wife Beatrice of Vancouver, WA; beloved niece, Gay Webster of Chiefland and Beloved Nephew, James Ernest Sanders of Lake Wales ; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Bell Cemetery in Bell, Florida with Rev. Bill Anderson officiating.
