DeForest Charles Gavette of Frostproof passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born December 22, 1916 in Holly, MI to the late Marshall and Nicy (Belden) Gavette; and he came here from Fayette, OH in 1970. He was the owner/operator of Gambles Hardware store in Fayette, OH and enjoyed golfing.
DeForest was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Gavette in 2003. Survivors include his daughters, Carol Fasnaugh (James) of Piney Flats, TN and Deann Riter (Phil) of Stryker, OH; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
