David Scharer

David Carlton Scharer, 85

David Carlton Scharer of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on January 23, 2022, at his home.

He was born on June 25, 1936 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Clarence and Florence Scharer. He was the owner and operator of Dave’s Barber Shop for many years in Michigan and loved to Deer hunt and enjoyed fishing.

David is preceded in death by his sister Kay Rutherford.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine Yurk Scharer. David is also survived by his daughters; Lois Durrett of St. Cloud, Gale Ewers of Flint, Michigan; son Glen Scharer and wife Noemi of Winter Haven, and stepson Scott Yurk and wife Janine of Grand Blanc, Michigan. David is also survived by his brothers Art Scharer of Wolverine, Michigan, and Gene Scharer of Phoenix, Arizona. David has 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday; January 28,2022 at 2:00 pm until the funeral at 3:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
