LAKE WALES -- Mr. David Narcissus Patryas of Lake Wales died of cancer Wedneday (Dec. 14, 2004) in Lake Wales. He was 77.

Born in Chicago on June 22, 1928, he came to Lake Wales from Haines City 15 years ago. He was a retired art director for newspapers. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, having earned two Bronze Stars. He was a Catholic.

Mr. Patryas is survived by his wife, Sharon W. Patryas; daughters, Robin Patryas, Tracey Patryas, both of Phoenix; son, Mark Patryas, Phoenix; brothers, Francis Patryas, Kissimmee, Roger Patryas, Chicago; sisters, Anna Patryas, Michigan, Rose Danielewicz, Gloria Cox, both of Chicago; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
