David James Mohler

David James Mohler, 32 of Babson Park, Florida passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at Advent Health Orlando, Florida.

He was born August 21, 1989, in Garden City, Michigan to Ronald and Lina (Caruso) Mohler and he has been a resident of Babson Park for the past 4 years.

David was a Detention Support Specialist for the Polk County Sheriff Office and was of the Catholic Faith. He liked riding motorcycles, repairing things he broke, an avid reader, gamer and, he was a fountain of miscellaneous information. David was a Navy Veteran, serving Two Tours on the USS Bainbridge and was attached to EOD Operational Support Unit 10 from 2010 to 2016 in support of EOD for OEF.

Survivors include his wife, Sephra Learmonth; daughter, Nadia A. Mohler of Babson Park; stepdaughters, Azrial Vince and Raelyn Learmonth of Babson Park; parents, Ronald D., and Lina N. Mohler of Auburndale; brother, Mark A. Mohler of Auburndale.

Visitation will be held 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Fr. Luis Osorio officiating. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida following services.
